ABOUT US

As the President and CEO of the Southern Procurement Group, Sam Teasley oversees the daily operations and has a wealth of experience and knowledge that qualifies him to handle your contracting needs.

Sam Teasley currently serves as lead consultant in government contracts for the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center.

He served as Regional Account Manager for GSA in Region 4, for several years. He was responsible for marketing the Real Estate Services, IT and Federal Supply Schedules to the following agencies: Agriculture, US Attorneys, Department of Energy, VA, Treasury, DOT State Department, COE, SSA, SBA, US Marshall, Labor & Justice Department, IRS, Interior, HUD, HHS, FBI, EPA, and Homeland Security.

As the Administrative Contracting Officer for GSA in Region 4, Sam administered all Federal Prison, NISH, NIB and most of the Fortune 500 Federal Supply Schedule contracts in the South-Eastern United States
As the Procurement Contracting Officer for GSA in Washington, D.C., Sam negotiated contracts with the Federal Prison, NISH, NIB and Fortune 500 companies.

While serving as Depot Quality Inspector for GSA in Region 4, Sam was responsible for ensuring that supplies, worth billions of dollars, purchased by GSA, met all contractual and specification requirements.

Prior to GSA, Sam served as the Small Business Administrator for the International Business Machines (IBM) in Washington, D.C. He was responsible for overseeing all Federal Government Contracts. He sat on the Governor’s Board representing IBM to the states of Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Education and Commendations

In 1981, Sam received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

Sam is noted for his comprehensive marketing strategy employed with Homeland Security.  The government and industries recognize him for his extensive experience in re-engineering the GSA’s National Accounts Manager Program in selling GSA products and services in the South-Eastern Region.

He received several letters of commendation from Governmental Agency Presidential Appointees, including GSA and CEO’s of Industries for outstanding customer service. With his knowledge and experience, Sam has proven that he can provide invaluable knowledge and insight to his clients.
